THANK YOU!

Thank you to the Rose Garden Inn in Berkeley for opening your doors to us! Your beautiful space was the perfect backdrop for the party.

Thank you to Russell Kassman of Kassman Pianos in Berkeley for your generous donation of wine. Your support and love to our family is endless.

Thank you to the Rieser Family for all of the wonderful food. The past crazy six weeks have only brought us closer together.

Thank You to everyone that came out to support us and our boys. Total strangers, yet you felt like close family. And to our close friends, you showed us that you should be called family.

Thank you to Karen Morss. Your book is beautiful and is a very special place in our home.

I don't think we can say thank you enough!

With lots of love and barks,
Brad, Brett, Kevin & Clint.

Thank you!

Appreciation/Fundraiser Party for Kevin Jan. 29th

January 29th, 2011 @ 4:00PM Rose Garden Inn, 2740 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley, CA
Thank you for your support! It has been amazing how people have donated and supported Kevin. We greatly appreciate it! So, with that said, we are planning an Appreciation/Fundraiser Party on January 29th from 4 – 7PM at the Rose Garden Inn in Berkeley.

Please RSVP by next Wednesday (Jan. 26th). We’ll have a few things to eat and drink. Feel free to bring a drink or food to share (though certainly NOT necessary).

Any extra funds that are raised will be donated to the Friends of the Oakland Animal Services and the East Bay SPCA.

We hope to have Kevin & Clint there, but we’ll see. They have been really “vocal” when strange people stop by the house, so we’ll see how it goes.

Please forward this message as you feel is appropriate! I have a feeling that I've missed a few people!

We hope to see you there!
Brad, Brett, Kevin & Clint

One Month Later!

It's hard to believe that it's been over one month ago our lives were turned upside down!  And it's hard to believe how quickly Kevin has been recovering.  He still doesn't use his right leg (the broken elbow) very much, but he certainly can zip around the house pretty well.  Clint has been wanting to play with Kevin soooo bad.  He brings a toy over to Kevin and tries to get him to chase him.  I guess when Kevin starts chasing Clint around, we know he's back to his old self!
Thank you again to everyone that has donated to his vet bills.  I've tried to send thank yous to everyone, but I know that I've missed a few.  I still have several hundreds of emails to get through (and the many comments posted here and on Facebook.)  If I haven't gotten to you, THANK YOU!!!
We hope to see you at the party.  It will be at the Rose Garden Inn in Berkeley, January 29th from 4-7pm.  If you can make it, let us know.  So far we'll have wine there.  Is anyone a good cook??  We are also planning on having Kevin & Clint there.  They have been really vocal when people come to the door, so we'll have to see how they do around a big crowd.
Thank you again and see you in 11 days!

Two Week Check-Up

Greetings,

It has been quite the busy week at our house. With the new year starting and things moving into full swing for 2011 I want to provide you an update on Kevin's status.

Brad took Kevin to his second follow-up appointment at PETS Referral Center in Berkeley. Kevin was really excited to see all of the staff at PETS Referral Center and seemed to know exactly where to go and was really animated! This was wonderful news to the staff and the doctors present...and really wonderful news for Brad and I.

The surgeon removed the stitches (some fourteen external ones) and suggested it was time for Kevin to have a haircut! They were really pleased with his progress and recovery to date. The next milestone in his recovery will be the follow-up exam and x-ray in about six weeks! For now we have to keep him on limited exercise and only take Kevin outside for potty breaks.

It was really great to get the good news and know our boy is on the road to a full recovery!

We will post some additional photos and an update on the Appreciation and Fund Raising Celebration for Kevin on Saturday, January 29, 2011, 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Rose Garden Inn, 2740 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley, California. The folks at the Rose Garden Inn are really excited to be hosting this event and are looking forward to our celebration! They are working to provide special discounted room rates for folks who want to attend the Celebration. More information to follow this weekend.

Kevin, Clint, Brad and I are really thankful and humbled by all of your well wishes and support! Thank you very much!

Dinnertime!

photo

Dinner tine! Fior some reason, Kevin keeps spilling food onto the floor for Clint.
